How long does it typically take to complete the workbook?
The workbook works alongside the British Curriculum; although every child is different, it should take you between 6 – 9 months to complete the workbook. This is when you will see significant progress in your child’s learning, although you shall see progress much earlier! This is dependent on the individual child and the pace of teaching.
My child is much older. Can it help them?
Yes, the textbook is great for children over the age of 4, especially if your child is struggling to read Phase 2 – 3 sounds, it will give them the adequate practice they need to get reading and writing with much more proficiency.
I’m a tutor/Teacher, will it help me with my lessons?
You can use this method for teachers and tutors; however, it is not yet approved by the DFE although it uses all the methods necessary. This will be an excellent resource for your struggling learners and students. However, keep an eye out as the DFE approved curriculum will be out soon. Insha’Allah.

Yes, all the necessary phonics skills from Nursery to Reception. After this workbook, your child will have a firm foundation in reading and writing and will be ready in year 1. However, this book also supports struggling learners and fills in the gaps to their learning.

The How to Teach My Ummah YouTube Channel has all the advice needed for those struggling with certain methods. For example; When your child is struggling to blend or your child is struggling to hear the sounds at the end of a word, the recap is also available on YouTube.

Yes, Muslim parents love the book ‘‘Teach My Child To Read in 100 Lessons’’ . You can use the workbook alongside the instructional book, but I wouldn’t advise you to use multiple workbooks alongside this one. Stick to one workbook!
